In truth, trends change too much for my taste…right now, ladies are raving about straw bags, wasn’t it just last week we were talking about berets? Not last week? I exaggerate, pardon me…well I digress, as I was saying, they (trends) change too much so I don’t hop on them quickly but when I do, I really do (and maybe overdo it).
There’s something I’ve been loving lately and that’s statement earrings, I’ve always been a fan of all things bold, so that made me perhaps a little bit too enthusiastic about this. Wore these and I got compliments and questions on where I got them, so I decided to do a tutorial (yaaaaay!!) on how I made (yes made) these. Let’s get into it.
Materials you need: A pair of scissors, sewing thread or yarn, hoop earrings of your choice and your hands (obviously).
-All you need to do is wrap and wound the thread or yarn round three or two of your fingers
-When you get your desired fit, cut the yarn…that’s from a circle to a line
-Make as many bundles as you want (I made 12, two in the color maroon and ten in the color black)
-Loop each bundle through the hoop and tie them off very close to the hoop for the tassel effect.
-So twelve on each hoop, depending on the size and you’re done!
Easy statement earrings!! Enjoy.
Thank you for reading!
